GUARD YOUR PROMISES

I have come to notice lately how God will move in amazing ways, I'll suggest it be used in a blog or Facebook entry, and then before you know it, the enemy comes and snatches the memory away. I'm only writing on this topic today to encourage everyone to guard the promises God has made to you by all means necessary! If you receive a word or a prophesy write it down! If God moves incredibly in your day leave yourself a voice memo...immediately! The enemy will try to tell you things like, "You havent seen any healings in a long time", "You havent even encouraged anyone today", "You arent doing enough for God". These things are his way of getting you to doubt your relationship and identity. It's not ok! I have set my mind to holding on to the treasures God gives us every single day, and keeping them where we can access them quickly. I used to do a better job of that, but as it becomes increasingly normal for life to be supernatural I dont think to post or blog about it. Thats not ok either! Revelation 12:11 tells us that the enemy is overcome by the perfect combination of three things. The first is the blood that Jesus shed conquerering the grave, making a mockery of the enemy. The second is the word of our testimony. Why is this important? Some people think that it sounds boastful or arrogant, but the word tells us that when we share the things God has done in and through our lives it indirectly gives others permission to walk in that same victory. So by me forgetting to post or blog the miracles that God is doing in my life, I am denying someone the spiritual break through of experiencing that confidence of the possible for their lives. The same is true for each and every one of God's children! Daddy is well pleased when you boast in Him! Your testimony is a fragrant offering that glorifies the Lord!

SOOOOO FAITHFUL

I am so amazed at how faithful God is! A few days ago I asked Him to make my houseless brothers and sisters more accessible. I asked Him to put them right in my path so that I could not miss them, because it would seem so often that they would be on the wrong side of a one way road or some other place we could not safely get to them. Since then He has sent us places where we literally could bump right into them. Here's are just a few of the many examples of how He has blessed that request.
When we were getting lunch on Saturday there was a houseless brother right outside the Subway we were going into, so we were able to bless him with some lunch. While in the Subway, He prompted me to buy a dozen cookies and hand them out to all the customers, blessing them in Jesus' name. On our walk after lunch another houseless brother walked right up to us and, bless his heart, he showed us the couple of coins he had in his hand asking if he could purchase what was left of Gaige's mini bag of Sun Chips. We were not only able to freely give him the chips, but also the second half of my sub. He was even more excited though when we asked to pray with him!
Yesterday as we were walking out of the zoo there was a houseless brother sleeping on the garden trim wall. He was directly in our path! We walked up to him and started up a conversation. Then because the Lord had blessed us with a close parking space we were able to run over to the car, get him some food, and get back quickly. He was so touched. He even waited to eat so he could bow his head in reverence as we prayed for him.
Now to today's story!
We were driving down the freeway to check out the Houston Space Center when all of a sudden we were heading down a hill, gaining speed. I tapped my brakes so that I was not going over the limit and..."OH MY GOSH YOU GUYS THE BRAKES ARE OUT!" Skylar and I start praying immediately. We must have kept it cool because Gaige, who was listening to music with his headphones on, didn't even notice! I turned on my hazards, and like the Red Sea, traffic parted without missing a beat. We coasted from the third lane to the right lane, and then onto an exit ramp. The light was green so we were able to coast right into a Jack in the Box parking lot, and right into a parking space, where we came to a stop! Not a scratch on the car, not a flinch of the kids and I, and not a single disruption of traffic! I immediately started praising God! Jesus is Lord! The enemy was definitely trying to kill us, but my Daddy's got big plans for us!!! We got out of the car and walked around to the front of the restaurant to get the address for AAA. As I got off the phone with AAA, Skylar pointed out that one of our houseless brothers was sleeping on the ground under the freeway bridge. My first thought...how convenient of us to almost die right where we can share life with a brother! I am definitely out of my mind! LOL! We walked back to the car to get our mission supplies luggage, and headed to let our light shine. As Gaige stayed back to wait for AAA, Skylar and I walked across the busy frontage road to wake our new friend from his slumber. After providing him with some fruit, sandwiches, water, a blanket, and a copy of the Word, we were allowed to pray with him. He was so touched by the gesture that he also waited to eat and bowed his head in reverence. Once we had said our goodbyes, we headed back to the car right as AAA was pulling up. The tow truck driver informed us that our membership covers the first three miles and wouldn't you know, the nearest mechanic they work with is one and a half miles away! Jesus! On the way to the shop I received a word for the tow truck driver. Yayyy! It was so dead-on that he was totally weirded out and awkward for the remainder of the ride! LOL! When we got to the shop I got to love on and encourage a few of the mechanics, share the gospel and pray for a man in the waiting area, love on and encourage a woman and her 2 year old son in the waiting area, and speak life into a female employee! Jesus! When we got the news about the total cost of the repairs being $821 my response..."I just need a few minutes to pray"! Wow! Why wasn't I crying and freaking out? This car is our home and our only means of transportation! Everything we own is in this car! I don't have that kind of money! The car didn't even cost that much to begin with! None of these things even came to mind! All I could think of was...there is a big decision to be made and I need to consult my Bridegroom! Totally calm! Whoa!!! I went outside and praised God for all He had just done for us, and all He was about to do. I informed my mother and my FB friends of the situation, and then returned to the office to give the okay. What? Order the parts? Total peace!!! I then went back to the waiting room and ordered a rental car. The mother sitting in the waiting room was steadily watching me and reading my reactions. She was baffled! LOL! I could see by her expression that she could not understand, knowing our life, why I was so at peace. Once the rental car was ordered we got a ride, from the female employee previously mentioned, to Hertz. Upon arrival at Hertz, I received a word for the woman behind the desk. It seemed so creepy to me, but I went with it. "Ma'am can I see your eyes..............", is how it began. Total creeper! LOL! The word developed more and more as I delivered it, until she was holding my hands with the biggest smile on her face. She told me that the ladies at Hertz could confirm everything I had just said, that I was her last customer of the day, and that those words had just totally made her day! On our way out to the rental car I noticed that the man servicing the cars was stressed out. I asked him how his day was going and his response was, "I'm just trying to make it through." Well, you guessed it.... we prayed for and blessed him. On the way out of the lot we also got to bless the lady and the security gate. At this point we had to drive back to the mechanic shop to get our stuff out of our car, and into the rental car. Wouldn't you know it, there's another mechanic there! Yayyyy! After encouraging him and transferring our belongings we headed to a hotel for the night... but on the way we saw a houseless brother holding a cardboard sign. We signal him to meet us in the parking lot, give him a bag of groceries, and pray with him. Off we go again! We finally made it to the hotel where we got to encourage and bless the lady behind the desk and the cook. Daddy blessed us with some free dinner, as the hotel was having an evening social for all their customers. At the social I thanked the Lord for an increase of His presence all over us, and just watched as a group of hard-looking men got soft when we greeted them. God is so amazing! This never shuts down! I am so excited to see how He pays for the car tomorrow, and how many people He blesses in amazing ways throughout the day! Run with me church!!!

Every day is a miracle

Its crazy to see how when you just give your life entirely over to God, how many miracles happen! I know that the Word says that even greater things than these we will do, but... whoa! People are legit getting freed from lives of addiction at the mention of His name! People are being healed of chronic pains and deadly diseases with the laying on of hands! Chains are being broken in every facet of life! This isn't the greatest miracle though. The greatest miracle is the joy when there would be sorrow, the peace when there would be panic, and the freedom when there would be bondage! The world can justify healings all they want, but when a woman is literally homeless, has no idea where she and her children will get their next meal from, yet joyfully hands out money she's been blessed with to people on the street, without a worry in the world...now that's a miracle! Then when the three of them get treated out to dinner by complete strangers the next day because the Lord laid it on their hearts...now that's a miracle! People may look at what we are doing and say it's foolish. They may judge and scoff. The truth still stands...Jesus is Lord!... and the only way to truely live is to give your life (your hopes, dreams, plans, resources, children, worries, fears, etc) fully to Him! Humble yourselves under His mighty hand, and He will exhalt you! Run with me church!
